Happy Independence Day!!!!

I know that this is a little late, but happy 4th of July everyone. I (Venice) hope that everyone had a great time celebrating America's independence at the beach, picnic(s),[I had to make that plural 'cuz some of y'all are probably greedy or like most black/hispanic ppl and tried to go to as many bbq's as humanly possible yesterday...lol], watching fireworks, burning the flag [heck some of y'all may be crazy]or however else you chose to spend the day. My day started out rather uneventful and depressing, as I had absolutely no plans for this day and didn't know of any taken place in the small town that i am in. This was my first 4th of July in which i was not with my friends or family and I was completely lost/bored without them. Anyway, I spent most of the day lounging around until i finally went to the grocery store, where I saw last minute shoppers buying up all the meat, buns, and anything red,white,and blue that they could find. I stayed clear of them and those items, I'm guessing as a way to try to forget that I didn't have any plans for this celebratory day. As i approached the check out lane I was met by a young male cashier, who quickly reminded me that it was the fourth and I had no plans, by making jokes. This pimpled face guy, to my surprise, not only hit on me but made me laugh and smile, reminding me that I should be happy and having fun. Feeling slightly inspired, I left the store and met up with my roommate and her old ( but my new and more elderly) friends to spend the evening with and actually had a wonderful time. I hope that you all had fun yesterday and shared precious time with those close to you!

I've been thinking about my childhood lately and realized how fun, innocent, and unforgettable it was. The 90's was a crazy decade, from the clothes, hair styles, sayings, and entertainment. I could go on and on about how i remember these things and the impact that it had on me but instead I'll just post a few pics of my favorite toys.
